My brother Jorge and I are crazy about soccer and we've been to four FIFA World Cups. Back in 2006, a tradition like no other was born— shaving each other's head like a football in celebration of the beautiful game.

The 2014 World Cup in Brazil reached 3.2 billion viewers. During a Colombian game, his face appeared on the jumbotron, so It's fair to say that half of the world got to see this project.

The process

After shaving his hear really thin, I use a sharpie to trace the patches and basic lines of the ball. Then, I use a trimmer to clean ups the designated hexagons. The final touches are added by shaving the clean spots with a razor.

FIFA World Cup Germany 2006

Our first attempt to this idea came in the 2006 FIFA World Cup. It was actually really bad. But he came close to fame for like 5 seconds when he made it to the news.

FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010

The world had its eyes on South Africa 2010, so we knew we couldn't disappoint with another bad haircut. My cousin Francisco and I also joined the cause, and this time, everyone loved our haircut.
